How does Breast Milk Production Work?

Baby suckles at the breast, that gives the signal to your brain to make more milk by releasing the hormones prolactin and oxytocin which make and move the milk. The milk comes back down and goes into the baby. The baby suckles at the breast again and the cycle repeats itself.
